Hi to all my friends and fellow planet savers!I am developing this blog as a kind of travel diary to let you know what I will be up to over the next few months as I go to work in the Maldives for Live and Learn Environmental Education
I will be working on a project to develop a National Public Awareness and Media Program focussing on Waste for the South Ari Atoll region.
At this stage you're probably thinking "beautiful tropical island resorts, diving, atoll surfing and soaking up the sun" and of course you are right, I will be escaping winter in Melbourne and heading to the tropics and enjoying the best the Maldives has to offer on my weekends but this is a serious project targeting waste reduction, recycling and reuse at a national and household level!
I know it sounds like a tough assignment, but alas someone has to do it and it might as well be me!
